The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere, with clean rooms and a friendly staff. While the breakfast service was a bit chaotic due to a wedding party, the food was decent. The mattress was firm and uncomfortable, which hindered a restful night’s sleep.

Such great experience there. Newly remodelled venue, great food, easy location in a quite area. Early check-in and late check-out, parking on site. Heated pool. Location not far from Oxford, Birmingham and Daventry...

We explored a nearby historic castle and enjoyed some local park trails. The staff were super cute, and the bike storage was a nice touch. Breakfast was solid too. Just a heads-up, dinner is served in the bar area, which may feel a bit casual but the food was pretty good.
One downside was the need to navigate through busy conference areas to reach our room. It took away from the relaxation vibe we were hoping for.

Gluten-free breakfast is available. There was a gluten-free toast and fried eggs, but the labelling of gluten-free cornflakes was not clear. Between several bowls with cornflakes there was a sign "Gluten-free" - only which one? Honey came out of the big jar. But this one looked anything but appetizing. Packaged, small portions would have been nice.

The provided database was impressive, featuring an extensive range of activities and local attractions, which I found very helpful. I wished for more tea and coffee options in the room, as I enjoy my morning brew.
The location of our room was quite far from the reception, making it a bit cumbersome as we navigated through a warren of corridors and steps with our luggage. I found it unusually warm for November without any air conditioning to cool things down.

The countryside & surrounding area. Hotel staff were very friendly, but understaffed. At check in we were not given any information ie. Car Park code leaving us stuck & having to walk back to Reception beffore we could get out !. We were sent the longest possible way to our room but later a staff member told us about a shorter way. We enjoyed our stay.
No Ice machine available.

The Standard Double Room was a letdown. The mattress was squeaky and uneven. Every little move made noise, super annoying. Ended up sleeping on the floor since there was only one duvet to share. Not what I expected for a weekend getaway. Tough on our backs too, which isn't something I normally deal with on trips.
